music scene - what do you think about it?

Thriving! There are more musical styles now than ever seen in history. New genres of music are continuously breaking into further sub-genres. There has never been so much choice for the consumer/listener/regular guy to choose from. And access is easier than ever, through an ipod, MP3 Player, through the internet, Digital tv and Radio. The masses are no longer restricted by what is pushed upon us by the multinational record labels. The consumer has the power to be selective in what they listen to. The industry is now waking up to this. The next few years will be very exciting for everyone!

What has been your coolest DJ night and why?

Incognito @ Po Na Na: An intimate venue with an amazing Sound System, Specialist upfront music for a specialist up for it crowd.

Have you got any DJing horror stories?

In my early days I was booked for a night playing R&B for a Bar Med Nightclub in the midlands. Upon travelling to the venue when I opened my record box I realised I had picked up my record box containing exclusively House music!! Imagine the horror!!!! By some unimaginable amount of luck the previous club manager had been given the sack and the new manager loathed urban music but had a great love for House..... I was given a weekly residency the very same night!

Where would be your ultimate DJing location - home and abroad?

I think every DJ in the UK would love the opportunity to follow in Fat Boy Slims shoes by playing in the glorious sunshine infront of 75 000 fans on brighton beach!! Abroad I would love the opportunity to play at one of the infamous Moon Parties in Thailand!
