How long have you been spinning the decks for?
Been spinning since I was about 17 now, so not that long! I’m still a baby compared to the grand daddies!!
What originally hooked you into the DJing scene?
I love music! I always have done. I started out as a trained dancer!! –Yes that right! I was in music videos and stuff and I have always had good rhythm. I got sick and tired of going to clubs where the Dj would play shite tunes so one day I thought- I’m gonna learn and make a difference and so I did!
Your musical influences?
Junior jack and kid crème are the main ones. But I like a lot of 70’s music. I love the old bootlegs they do and anything by Michael Jackson I have to have! I also like trance which Is surprising to some!
What type of music do you specialise in?
Funky disco big beat house! It has to have a good hook and wicked vocals. Really feel good, hand in the air stuff!
Most expensive vinyl that you have paid for? - how much was it?
Erm I dunno really, aint ever found one that I would pay big dollar for!
What is your most treasured record and why?
I have so many but I think that it would have to be a mix or professional widow mixed with rise! – you know “rise, rise, rise, keep on rising!” It’s so awesome and I don’t think u can get it anymore. Also hysteric ego and want love! That always drops like a bomb
What clubnights have you played at?
I’ve played at Area (Watford), Aura (Watford), The aquarium, Turnmills, Pacha, Sin. The establishment.
What National / International clubnights have you played at?
I’ve played in Miami, Ibiza and Mallorca
music scene - what do you think about it?
I think it’s ok if you keep it funky! I hate all this electro shite that’s coming out! It sounds like bad garage!
What has been your coolest DJ night and why?
Probably my debut at Pacha I think! It was so cool and loads a people were there to support me! I felt like a king for a couple of hours! Then everyone was shaking my hand after!
Have you got any DJing horror stories?
Erm yeah! One night I was played in a club with 3 decks and 2 cd decks, I was mixing from vinyl to cd and I tried to spin of the vinyl, but it was the cd I was supposed to spin off and it all ended up going a bit wrong! I’m not sure how it happened but the record went back in time again and it turned out ok! I shit myself though! Ha ha- oh happy times!
Where would be your ultimate DJing location - home and abroad?
I think that my ultimate location at the moment is to play at the Wild Fruit tent at brighton's pride! The tent is so massive and there are so many people there, the acoustics aren’t that great but it’s still awesome because everyone is off it and they love it! I think abroad it would have to be maybe BCM in Mallorca or Pacha in Ibiza or new York!
Are you a resident DJ = if so where?
Aye- I have a bi monthly residency at Pacha for funky for love, a monthly one at Sin and of course every Friday night on innacity!!
What clubs / clubnights can we find you at?
Pacha-funky4love, Sin-sin and sensation and watch this space for a new Sunday morning after party! Its gonna be massive
