How long have you been spinning the decks for?
Nearly 3 years now but I’ve had a real passion for the music since I was about 13.
What originally hooked you into the DJing scene?
My sister introduced me to the drum n bass scene by playing me some old Darren jay and Adam f sets but I just kind of got myself into Djing as a hobby.
Your musical influences?
My main musical influences are my sister and parents, my old drum teacher and people like Adam f and nicky blackmarket all the major pioneers of the drum and bass scene really.
What type of music do you specialise in?
Drum and bass
Most expensive vinyl that you have paid for? - how much was it?
The most expensive vinyl I ever bought was a promo of defcom 69 by total science and it cost me about 16 quid. I’m still glad I paid that I just couldn’t live without that tune any longer. Lol.
What is your most treasured record and why?
I love all my records but the vinyl I’d probably miss most would have to be my original promo copy of deadline by digital or touch of j by mampi swift
What clubnights have you played at?
None. Only things like regular parties for mates.
What National / International clubnights have you played at?
None but I hope to reach that stage some point in my life.
music scene - what do you think about it?
I love the whole music scene but obviously I just have a passion for the drum and bass circuit. I think that all these music producers making there own style of music are doing it to not only please themselves but all the listeners as well and it really does my head in when people don’t appreciate what those people do in the music industry. I also am disappointed by the way that people “mock” other artists work, I think that people put harsh amounts of effort in to their own projects and they should be praised not criticized.
What has been your coolest DJ night and why?
The best night I’ve been to recently had to be Fabric’s birthday last month. Every one was there and there and there was not a single fault in the music that was played. A special big up to Roni Size he made that night for me.
Have you got any DJing horror stories?
I cant say I really have apart from when I DJ’d at my end of school leavers party when someone kept on knocking the decks and flopping my mixes. I was screeeeewing as you can imagine. Where would be your ultimate DJing location - home and abroad? I’d love to DJ in two venues. Fabric simply because of my love for the venue and the ravers that go there and create the great atmosphere and also I would loved to have had the chance to DJ at Sanctuary. R.I.P
Are you a resident DJ = if so where?
Not in any clubs no but id like to think I could have soon. You can also catch me on here Saturday evenings playing some of the most recent up front DnB.
What clubs / clubnights can we find you at?
Fabric or the end mainly, just on the wrong side of the deck’s. lol
