"Downtempo is probably the basic word you could use to describe us - hip hop, electronica, dub and all that. But we love house, drum'n'bass, soul, breaks. Hope you enjoy the show."

The music scene is what it is - you just have to trust it

What originally hooked you into the DJing scene?

Hearing the music, feeling the need to buy the music, then feeling the need to play the music.

Your musical influences?

Guitars of all kinds, good drumming, vocals with soul, melodied with style - basically, any music that makes an effort.

What type of music do you specialise in?

'Downtempo' is probably the basic word you could use to describe us - hip hop, electronica, dub and all that. But we love house, drum'n'bass, soul, breaks...see above question

What is your most treasured record and why?

Tom Delica - 'My glow in the dark Ghostbusters picture disc. Genius.'

The music scene - what do you think about it?

The 'scene' is always going to get dissed for one reason or another by onegroup of people or another. It may be true that certain genres get 'lazy' every now and again - it's happened to House, Rap, Drum'n'Bass, Rock - but there's always something coming up underneath it to keep things fresh, keep things moving.

The music scene is what it is - you just have to trust it, trust musicians and producers to come up with new bits, and trust your ears to hear them. We discovered all our favourite records by listening to the radio, so hopefully someone will hear their favourite record by listening to us - that'swhat we're about.

Have you got any DJing horror stories?

Tom Delica - 'My first - and only - DJ appearance in public at a party at University, full of pissed students. I did a party setloads of bootlegs, chart stuff - big records basically - and about 4 or 5 people were digging it. I lasted about 40 mins before some guy took over, dropped 'Cotton Eyed Joe' andthe dancefloor was full within about 8 seconds. I've never recovered.
